Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited CPCL of India is a group of company which belong to Indian Oil Corporation Ltd IOCL is inviting applications forms from eligible candidate to fill the vacancies of refinery operator and technician at Chennai and Nagapattinam in Tamil Nadu. THe selection process is purely based on written test (Chennai only) and interview.

Current vacancies in CPCL Chennai 2012

Refinery Operator (Chemical)

1. Department: Facturing/Process Units/ Oil Movements & Storage
2. No of Vacancies: 28 (SC-5, OBC-9, UR-14)
3. Eligibility: Candidate should have completed his Diploma in first class in Chemical or Petroleum or Petro-Chemical Engg. If he/she is not form engineering background they should get first class in B.Sc. with Chemistry as a major subject.
4. Experience: Minimum 2 years in Process Units in Refining / Chemical / Petro-chemical / Fertilizer plant
5. Pay scale: Pay Scale of 5,800-11100

Refinery Operator/ Refinery Technician (Electrical)

1. Department: Power & Utilities / Maintenance (Electrical)
2. No of Vacancies: 08 (SC-2, OBC-2, UR-4)
3. Eligibility: Candidate should get minimum first class in his Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering departments. For SC candidates 55% makes is enough.
4. Experience: Minimum 2 years in Steam driven TG sets / Gas Turbine / Heat Recovery Steam Generators.
5. Pay scale: Pay Scale of 5,800-11100

Refinery Operator/ Refinery Technician (Electrical)

1. Department: Power & Utilities / Maintenance (Mechanical)
2. No of Vacancies: 08 (SC-2, OBC-2, UR-4)
3. Eligibility: Candidate should get minimum first class in his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering departments. For SC candidates 55% makes is enough.
4. Experience: Minimum 2 years in DM Plant, Cooling Tower. For technicians he/she should have experience in Process Pumps / Compressors / Turbine.
5. Pay scale: Pay Scale of 5,800-11100

Refinery Technician (Instrumentation)

1. Department: Power & Utilities / Maintenance (Instrumentation)
2. No of Vacancies: 02 (SC-0, OBC-1, UR-1)
3. Eligibility: Candidate who is applying to this post should have atleast first class marks in his diploma in Instrumentation or Instrumentation & Control or Electronics & Instrumentation or Electronics & Communications Engineering departments. For SC candidates 55% marks is enough in above mentioned subjects.
4. Experience: Minimum 2 years in Refinery / Petro-chemical / Chemical / Fertilizer / Power plant
5. Pay scale: Pay Scale of 5,800-11100

Refinery Technician (Automobile)

1. Department: Maintenance (Automobile)
2. No of Vacancies: 04 (SC-1, OBC-1, UR-2)
3. Eligibility: First Class Diploma in Automobile Engineering.
4. Experience: Minimum 2 years in automobile equipments such as Cranes, Fork-lifts, Hydro-blast machines, Tractors, DG sets, Air-compressors, Exchanger retubing machines
5. Pay scale: Pay Scale of 5,800-11100

Please note that candidates who have experience less than 2 years or freshers can also apply. If they are elected they will be considered as a trainee with a monthly stipend of 11,000/-.

Candidates have to pay a DD for Rs. 200/- towards application fee in favour of "CHENNAI PETROLEUM CORPORATION LIMITED", payable at Chennai. CPCL chennai will not accept Cheque / MO / Postal Order or any other mode of payment.

SC / ST / Physically Disabled candidates are exempted from payment fees.
